I went to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Saturday (Jan. 4) for the first time in years.
Being a former dairy farmer, I was shocked and disappointed that there were so few ag dealers and suppliers at the show. It was more like a flea market.
I know the farm economy is tight now, but there is always new stuff coming out to help farms be better and more productive. I didn’t see any vendors there.
I’m looking forward to Empire Farm Days this year (if it’s still going to happen). I won’t be heading to the Pennsylvania Farm Show anytime soon. Maybe they should change the name to Pennsylvania Flea Market and Livestock Show.
There is not enough ag stuff there to call it the Farm Show anymore.
